A
large number of diaspora Tamil community believe that Pirabakarn will
create them a Tamil homeland called "Tamileelam" and the LTTE's peace
initiatives are always not genuine and intent on buying time to create a
conducive climate to hunt down the opposed, intimidate Muslims and weed
out the Tamil democratic forces in their preparation for a final war.
However, the international involvement may not approve of the LTTE's aim
(Thirst). The Muslims do not tolerate Muslims being denied a chance
to become a party to CFA and or PTOMS. The GOSL also ignored the Muslims
and play the card aginst the LTTE. It is still a long way to go, to see
who is genuine in the resolution of the Tamils and Muslims questions.
For the time being there is no losers and both are winners but the
lossers are always the people of Sri Lanka. We are not Tamils and we are
Muslims of distinctive identity and we have our own political
aspirations. Until and unless the people make their voices heard
peace will be an illusion.
